Mission Statement
The National Associations of Yemeni Americans (NAYA) mission is to empower our communities, individuals, families, groups, and businesses to achieve their maximum goals through outstanding accessible direct services and wide range social services by culturally diverse, experienced certified, skilled, bilingual staff and volunteers who coordinate and deliver Socio – Economic, Educational, Cultural, Social Services and Job training programs tailored to suit the needs of our communities. We strive to bridge the cultural gap and obstacles to integration through direct services and programs promoting Cross – Cultural understanding and model citizenship. We provide a wide range of community resources to facilitate the adjustment and adaptation of new immigrants while keeping their unique and proud heritage identity.
Goals & vision
The National Association of Yemeni –Americans (NAYA) is recognized as a community based 501 (C) (3) Community based service oriented organization that has achieved local, national and international recognition for its advocacy, community promotional and empowerment with a commitment to provide the necessary coordination of the socio-economic, educational, and cultural framework and health awareness efforts of our target communities across the state. This is done in the provision of a safe, trustworthy bicultural and bilingual environment and professional human services through, but not limited to, the following:
Initiation of outreach activities with government agencies and other community organizations with similar interests in increasing cross-cultural understanding and awareness of our community.
Promotion of intra-and inter- group coordination and strengthening cooperation.
Enforcement of efforts in advancing the general welfare of Yemeni Arab-Americans.
Provision of employment counseling and available training and placement of eligible Yemeni Americans.
Providing of social work counseling and referral services suitable and tailored to the needs of our Community.
Provide tailored Mental Health services including counseling, and referrals.
Provide tailored English as second language programs for both men and Women.
Provision of special programs for woman designed to suit their needs and to empower them socially, culturally, educationally and economically.
Political empowerment through educating the communities about their civil rights, civil liberties, their citizenship rights, Government, the political process and the importance of the political participation.
